Here are some recommendations as a regular at Les Menuires:
Ski rental shop:
Ski Box - https://lesmenuires.com/en/ski-box-sports
For us, the best value for money in the resort. This family business is located not far from our apartments in the gallery (take the stairs under the ski slope and you'll find them).
Restaurants:
La Brasserie Bellevilles - https://www.brasseriedesbelleville.fr/
Very friendly, good value for money, but we recommend booking in advance as it's often full despite the size of the restaurant... they're victims of their own success...
La Fromagerie des Bellevilles - https://lesmenuires.com/fr/fromagerie-belleville
In the gallery after the Sherpa, you'll find this small, typical restaurant offering excellent dishes! Book in advance as space is limited!
Decoration/souvenirs:
Made in Bellevilles - https://www.facebook.com/madeinlesbelleville/
Handcrafted decorations. If you like the decorations in our apartments, most of it comes from this store. They're super friendly, attentive to your needs, and offer more than reasonable prices.
You can't miss them, they're located right at the exit of the Chavière and Lac du Lou elevators on floor -1.
Food:
Sherpa:
Located right next to the elevators on level -1. New owner, new ideas! They offer wine tastings at the end of the day!
Looking for good meat... one address:
La Tarine - https://www.sbv-boucherie-charcuterie-menuires.com/
Located in the shopping arcade, the only butcher on the Croisette is worth the way for the quality of its meat!
Ski:
When the weather's nice, take advantage of the Pointe de la Masse as soon as the slopes open. This will avoid the rush of the Les Menuires chairlift departures on the Croisette. You'll be able to enjoy the first rays of sunshine in the morning (and therefore less icy snow). Once at the bottom of La Masse, you'll have the choice between the Doron or Bruyeres chairlift.
Do you love beautiful snowy landscapes, surrounded by nature in full sun... the Orelle Valley will be your paradise! Take a close look at the piste map. Behind Valthorens (on the far right of the map), you'll find this small valley where nature has preserved all its rights, a few ski lifts, a restaurant at the bottom of the valley, and that's it. The rest is up to you and the beauty of nature!
If you have children who love moguls and other fun areas, head to the Méribel snowpark, ideal for children and one of the largest and most diverse in the 3 Valleys!
There are still plenty of places to discover... over 600km of slopes can't be summarized in a few lines, but whether you're a first-timer or even a seasoned skier, these few spots are worth visiting at least once during your stay.
We hope that these few recommendations will please you, of course this remains our opinion based on our personal experience, do not hesitate to share your opinions and recommendations with us if you have others!
